Volleyball and Netball at Monash University
Congratulations to the SEGAP Intermediate teams.
On the 27 August 55 students participated in the Intermediate SEGAP Volleyball and Netball competition. All teams played three games which got them into the semi-finals. Netball B team won all 5 games and went onto win the Grand Final game against Killester 29-3. The Volleyball C and D teams fought out very close games, point for point until both teams came out on top in their grand final games.

SEGAP Results
The Netball A and B teams made it to the grand final games but lost to Killester and OLSH.
Netball C were undefeated all day and went onto win the grand final game 30 – 2. They scored 111 goals for the day and only conceded eight goals against them.
Volleyball A and B finished fourth and Volleyball C defeated OLSH in the grand final game 59 – 38.

Champions Cup Basketball
Last Thursday the Senior Basketball team headed to the State Basketball Centre to compete in the Elite 8 Competition. The team qualified for this competition after winning their way through the round games earlier this term.
Two wins (including an overtime thriller against Box Hill Senior Secondary) and one loss saw the team progress to the final four – the top four schools in the whole of Victoria. Despite their best efforts against 2023 National Champions Rowville Secondary, the team was unable to get the win.

CGSAV Netball
On Tuesday Kilbreda had seven teams participate in the Division 1 CGSAV competition at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville. We congratulate all students on a very successful day for Kilbreda.
Junior A lost in the semi-final to Mount St Josephs.
Junior B lost by 1 in the final seconds of the grand final to Sacred Heart Geelong.
Junior C lost to Sacred Heart Geelong in the semi-finals.
Intermediate A defeated Mount St Josephs in the grand final. Best on Court was Molly Rizun.
Intermediate B lost to Sacred Heart Geelong in the grand final.
Senior A lost to Avila in overtime in the grand final. Best on court was Lucy Cracknell
Senior B defeated St Columba’s in the grand final.
