House Fun Run 

This year we had a new venue for the House Fun Run, the very picturesque Braeside Park. It was great to see so many students take up the opportunity to run during the event. A massive thank you to the VET Sport and Recreation students who assisted with the organisation and running of what was a great day!

The team for the CGSAV Cross Country has been selected and is all ready to compete in the Division 1 competition at Yarra Bend Park  next Thursday 30 June. CGSAV Athletics

The CGSAV Division 1 Athletics Carnival was held at Lakeside Oval last Thursday in absolutely magnificent conditions. Kilbreda had almost 80 students attend on the day with some students achieving some fantastic results! 

A special mention to Year 12 student, Emily Smith, for dominating the 1100m walk as she has done, every year since Year 7. Also to Year 10 student, Jacinta Crowley, who comfortably won both the 800m and 1500m events. 

We congratulate and thank Year 12 students, Emily Smith, Josie Friend, Jacinta Boyd, Ruby Douce and Heidi Widmer for their participation in CGSAV Athletics Carnivals across their six years at Kilbreda. 

Overall Results 

Juniors – 5th place
Intermediates – 3rd place

SEGAP 

Next Tuesday is the Intermediate SEGAP competition that will see students participate in Basketball, Badminton and Futsal. Good luck to all teams for this competition!

Staff Vs Student Volleyball

Yesterday the Year 12 House Leaders had their first competition against the staff with a game of Volleyball in the Hall.

There was quite a crowd watching. The Year 12 Leaders started strong with five quick points on the scoreboard. However, the Staff were quick to come back and worked well as a team to win all three sets!

Thank you to the Staff who played. Next term the sport will be Netball……this could be more challenging!

CGSAV Hockey  

We reported last edition that we had two teams participate in the CGSAV Hockey at the State Hockey Centre. We did not post the images, so again we want to congratulate the following players who all played so well.
