Farewell to the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

As this is the final newsletter for the term, we would like to take this opportunity to wish our College Principal, Nicole Mangelsdorf, every blessing as she embarks on a 12-month secondment as the Executive Director of Kildare Ministries. This significant appointment is a testament to Nicole’s remarkable dedication to Catholic education over the past thirty years and her ability to inspire positive change.

For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of witnessing Nicole’s inspiring evolution as a principal. Her unwavering commitment to justice, freedom, and the inherent dignity of every individual truly embodies the essence of ‘Strength and Kindliness’ in action. Nicole’s steadfast efforts in enhancing school improvement and her dedication to bringing our Vision and Mission statements to life have been instrumental in ensuring that Kilbreda College continues to be a leader in girls’ education.

Under Nicole’s visionary leadership, our college has flourished with the development of a broad and vibrant curriculum and co-curricular program, the establishment of the auditorium, and significant enhancements to our learning environments and facilities. Nicole has played a pivotal role in:

  • Creating our Strategic Plan and spearheading numerous school improvement initiatives.
  • Successfully navigating the challenges posed by COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Cultivating partnerships with the local and broader community, ensuring our students have authentic opportunities to develop the skills needed to become global citizens.

The exceptional educators and support staff she has assembled at Kilbreda College are a testament to her outstanding leadership. As she embarks on this new journey, working collectively with our schools and community works to reimagine the future of Kildare Ministries, we wish her every blessing.  We are confident that Nicole will bring her visionary spirit to Kildare Ministries, shaping a future filled with hope and opportunity and enriching the lives of many in our broader community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Nicole for the profound impact she has had on the Kilbreda College community. Her legacy of fostering innovation, nurturing partnerships, and championing the values of justice and compassion will continue to inspire us all. We wish Nicole every success in her new role as Executive Director of Kildare Ministries and eagerly anticipate welcoming her back with open arms at the conclusion of her 12-month secondment. May her journey ahead be filled with grace, wisdom, and strength, fostering a spirit of resilience, kindness, and support within our Kildare Ministries family.
