VCE Food Studies

The Year 12 VCE Food class recently designed and produced a healthy bowl meal as part of an assessment for Unit 3 Food Studies. They were required to design a meal that would suit a family of six and was based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines and The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. The students created a wonderful array for healthy and delicious bowl meals.

Student Reflection

Product Design and Technologies Excursion

On 14 May the Year 12 Product Design Technology students attended the Top Designs Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum in Carlton. We got the chance to listen to Kirsty Dickinson and what her inspiration was for creating her hand-crafted jewellery brand, Haus of Dizzy. Kirsty provided us with the design process that goes into the making of all her pieces and her advice for starting a small business.

As the PDT students are currently finalising their folios for submission in the next couple of weeks, seeing all the finished pieces chosen for Top Designs from last year’s Year 12 students inspired us. Thank you to Miss Cotsis for organising and taking us on this excursion.
