Student Reflection of the 120th Year Anniversary Mass

On 7 August, a very special event for Kilbreda College took place at St Patrick’s Cathedral. This was the 120th year Anniversary Mass, where many past and present staff members and students of Kilbreda College gathered to celebrate. Amongst these students and staff were also numerous speakers, musicians and singers.

I was fortunate enough to be one of these students. I am a part of the Kilbreda Chorale, which consists of many young and eager vocalists from all year levels. However, preparation for this Mass was not all put together in a matter of days. Behind the scenes, there were numerous students and staff practising and rehearsing for this occasion. As a part of this, all of the students and staff members involved in this Mass travelled to St Patrick’s Cathedral on 1 August, for a formal rehearsal.

I myself found being a part of the preparation and final product of the Mass to be an incredibly enjoyable experience. As well as this, it was so very memorable, and I feel extremely privileged to have been a part of this historic event. I would also like to thank the numerous students and staff members who made the day possible.
