Australian Volunteers Program Online Information Session – 21 November 2024
This online session can show you how you can support overseas organisations to achieve locally led, development goals. In the session, you’ll:
- Meet Australian Volunteers Program staff who will share insights about the program and the application process
- Gain an understanding of the support that the program provides to volunteers such as allowances, flights and visa support.
- Hear from former volunteers who will share their experience on assignment and give you a glimpse of what life is like as a volunteer.

Magnify Music Camp
Magnify is an intensive high-level skills camp for high school students between the ages of 14 to 18 who are serious about career success in the field of music. Run by Box Hill Institute, the camp will run between 13 – 17 January 2025. Entry is by audition and there are only 30 places. Click here for information.
The Science Experiment
Year 9 and 10 students are invited to apply for this exciting 3-day program held at RMIT University. Students will work within teams to collaborate, learn and solve real-world problems using STEM principles.
Students will have the opportunity over the three days to interact with academics, RMIT staff and current students. Teams will be led by Women in STEM Ambassadors which will provide further opportunities for students to ask questions about university life and what a STEM career path might look like.

After working hard to find their first job, some young people can struggle to adjust to the workforce. Some young workers can feel a sense of apprehension about their new responsibilities and what their workplace will be like. Being a source of support and encouragement is an important role for parents at this time.
