Oh what a night!!! ‘Kilbreda Festival’ (aka ‘K-Fest’) is back and it was bigger and better! The performances last night were incredible and the display of talent made for a wonderful evening. From solo vocal performances to large group dance routines and everything in between, it was clear that Performing Arts is a wonderful outlet and passion for so many of our students. They all shone! Adjudicated by professional judges including Principal – Nicole Mangelsdorf, Musical Theatre Guru – multi-talented, Scott Hili and Choreographer (and all things dance) Extraordinaire, Heath Anthony, trophies were awarded on the evening. We congratulate Year 12 students, Sarah and Sophie B with their amazing Piano Duet and our Year 10 Band with their performance of ‘Valerie’, who received ‘Encouragement Awards’. In third place was Year 7 student, Lana Z who impressed us with her rendition of ‘Make You Feel My Love’, Year 9 students Bridget M and Lauren V with their hilarious Vocal/Drama duet and to our champion, Year 11, Caitlin F who blew the audience away with her captivating dance piece. As said by the judges ‘If we could have, we would give every single performer an Encouragement Award so that they will continue doing what they love’. We can’t wait to see ‘K-Fest’ grow and watching more students showing courage, auditioning and having a blast. Bring on 2024!
