The transition from primary to secondary school is a time of excitement and growth as students are presented with new challenges. Being mindful of the importance of this, Level Leader: Year 7, Ms Leah Cristiano redeveloped the ‘Big Sister, Little Sister’ program this year. In this reimagined version, members of the Class of 2022 volunteered for a fortnight to assist our Year 7 students as they began their time at the College. For our ‘Little Sisters’ it was the opportunity to learn from someone who had come before them, ask questions, seek assistance and receive guidance on all aspects of College life. For our returning ‘Big Sisters’, it was a vehicle to develop confidence, improve communication and establish leadership skills. We thank the ‘Big Sisters’ for being so generous and giving of their time, they certainly helped in creating a smooth transition as new students settled in to their Kilbreda family.
