2017 Inductees
The following women are the 2017 Past Pupils of Distinction Inductees and were honoured along with all nominees at a celebratory function at the College on 4 August:

Carol Gaston AM
Professor Judith Kinnear
Doctor Mayumi Purvis
The Honourable Chief Justice Marilyn Warren AC

Under the leadership of Denise Leonard (Chair), the Past Pupils' Network Commitee, created an evening that will long be remembered in the hearts and minds of those present. Attendees included past principals, sisters of the Brigidine Community, past pupils, their family and friends, staff and the 2017 College Co-Captains, to witness this event. All inductees expressed their gratitude to the College and recognised the significant role Kilbreda had played in supporting their development as learners and as people.

Dinner Reflection
By Helen Wilson

Sometimes there is so much, that it hardly fits into the confines of my mind or my heart. Last night was one of those times. An evening like no other...for so many reasons.

The words that come to mind are pride, inspiration, goodwill and love. That bit is easy, but it's the degree of each of those which is so hard to express. The available adjectives just don't do.

The following will have to suffice in this space and just for now. Thank you so much to Denise Leonard and the Kilbreda College Past Pupils' Network Committee for your exceptional organisational skills in bringing to fruition lasts night's Past Pupils of Distinction Dinner. Brilliantly done as usual, but so specially done last night.

And thank you so much to the Nominees and Inductees for participating in an event which gave us all the opportunity to know your stories and allowed us to participate in them for a little while.

I think there are very few of us who could find the words to adequately express what we felt as each story was told. I certainly couldn't and can't.

Thank you to the school community for your participation and great help to the Committee. Particularly the School Captains, who were such beautiful hostesses, in every way. You did credit to the "new" uniform, which you obviously wear with such pride and so well. You were so friendly and welcoming and a credit to the school. Kilbreda is in very good hands into the future. I hope you will see as far and even further, standing on the shoulders of the Giants we were all so privileged to meet last evening.

So very well done to all concerned and thank you all so much, from one who is still floating on air while waiting for my flight back to Canberra and home to my beautiful Numeralla.

God is so good in His Fortiter et Sauviter
