At our College Assembly on Tuesday 3 December we presented significant college awards to members of our College community.

Congratulations to Kate Lowe and Keely Ortland who have been appointed as College Co-Captains for 2020.

On Tuesday 22 October at the final Assembly for our Class of 2019, the following awards were presented

The Kilbreda Dance Company (KDC) was the initiative of Dance teacher, Ms Cara Mitchell, who started the program in 2018.

From 9 July to 13 September, the College held Design and Technologies Week.

With the theme of “Destination Moon”, Science Week was a massive week at Kilbreda.

On Friday evening, 9 August 2019, Kilbreda College celebrated the second Past Pupils of Distinction Dinner.

On Thursday 8 August, we celebrated 115 years of education in the Brigidine Tradition at Kilbreda College.

From 31 July to 2 August, the College held Performing Arts Week.

As part of Art Week, which the College celebrated from 22-26 July, the Visual Arts VCE students presented their Unit 3 folios at the annual Art Soirée.

On Thursday 18 July our Year 9 students spent their first of four full days across Term 3 exploring Melbourne in their BRIDGES to City unit.

Today the Year 11s gathered for a ‘Year 11, 2020 Leadership Assembly’. This assembly welcomed past and present students and staff, to inspire all students to be their best and a leader within their own lives and introduced the 2020 Student Leadership process and timeline.

On Thursday 20 June our two choirs competed at the ‘Eisteddfod by the Bay’ Choral Festival.

The Peer Support Program places students at the centre of their learning, empowering them with practical skills and strategies to positively navigate life and relationships.

Today, all members of the College gathered for a Whole School Assembly. Here, we highlighted the many exciting and valuable contributions that our students have accomplished, making Term 2 an incredible one!

Recently at the College, we have introduced a new program, ‘Learning Mentors’.

Each year a Junior Mayor is elected in the City of Kingston. The Junior Mayor program has been running for over 50 years and is sponsored by the Chelsea Rotary Club.

We are excited to announce that 13 of our Year 10 students are participating in an ‘Artist in Residence’ Project in conjunction with the Mentone Renaissance Project

On 10 May the College hosted a wonderful Mother’s Day breakfast to recognise, reflect on, honour and celebrate our mothers and mothering.

On 1 May, the Year 9s headed off on their BRIDGES Camp for three days. The focus of the camp was on agriculture and sustainability as part of their BRIDGES to Country Unit.

On the weekend of 4-5 May, Year 11 students, Elise Ralph and Hannah Campbell, represented the College with distinction in a Model United Nations Conference held in the Legislative Assembly Chamber at Parliament House.

Whilst the students were enjoying the Term One holiday break, many exciting things were still happening behind the scenes at the College.

On Palm Sunday (14 April), Kilbreda College past and current students and staff led the 2019 Walk for Refugees through Melbourne streets

On Friday 1 February, our Class of 2019 began their year by celebrating in style at The Year 12 Formal and what a night to remember!

This morning we welcomed our new Year 7 students and families into the College Community for the next six years and beyond.

On Thursday 31 January a formation day was held for our Year 12 Student Leaders.

Three of our students participated in the RACI Titration Stakes National Finals, placing silver!

On Monday 15 October, Kilbreda College celebrated the Official Blessing and Opening of their new 400 seat auditorium.

24 students from Years 10, 11 and 12 participated in this year’s RACI Titration Stakes competition. Eight teams of three went up against 327 other teams from the state, one of them making it to the National Finals!

Approximately 30 students and staff, were joined by a number of parents for the Mentone RSL ANZAC Commemorative Service

Lions Youth of the Year is designed to encourage, foster and develop leadership in conjunction with other citizenship qualities in our youth. The qualities sought, apart from academic attainments are those of leadership, personality, sportsmanship, public speaking and good citizenship.

Youth for Causes is a seven month immersion into the world of social enterprise, where teams of students in Years 9 -11 from across Victoria have the opportunity to get an enterprise idea off the ground for a social or environmental cause they care about.

To enhance connectedness within our community our Year 12 Leadership Team and Middle School Leaders prepared a wonderful event to celebrate Harmony Day

As part of the Religious Education program, past pupils Eliza Rugg and Jayde Vincent who currently work for Channel 9 as reporters and producers, presented to the Year 11 students as part of their 'Ethics Seminar Day'.

'A single moment can spark a revolution, collective actions can transform laws, creative expression can change attitudes and an invention can alter the course of history'. Today at the College we celebrated the power of women and those that have shaped our world!

On Wednesday 7 March, 11 Year 9 students were commissioned into the FIRE Carriers Indigenous Education program. These girls were chosen for their strong work ethic and socially just ethos.
