The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence

On Friday 15 March, the College acknowledged The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. This nationally recognised date is an important day to mark communities standing together to say ‘Bullying. No Way!’

To support the day at the College, the Health and Wellbeing leaders facilitated a range of activities that students were involved in to take action on the issue of bullying. We thank the Wellbeing Leaders, Sue Grima and Amanda Flynn for working alongside the Student Leaders to spark conversation, raise awareness and empower our students to become part of the solution.

Events on the day included Kingston Youth Services facilitating activities at lunchtime and wristbands and fliers being distributed in Home Room. A mural was also created along with music and games to strengthen connectedness within and between year levels and to raise awareness of the importance of addressing bullying when it arises.
