Our comprehensive co-curricular program provides many opportunities for students to pursue their interests, further develop their knowledge and skills and discover
hidden talents. Students are encouraged to take up and actively participate in the rich co-curricular program offered at Kilbreda College.
Opportunities are offered in the areas of Debating, Public Speaking, Writing, Drama, Music, Robotics, Science, Visual Arts, Leadership, Social Justice and Democracy, Outdoor Education and Sport.

Kilbreda College offers opportunities for leadership in many areas and across all
year levels, developing self-confidence, communication skills and the ability to
fulfil responsibilities:

Immersion
Social justice, cultural and language immersions include trips to Lake Mungo, Central Australia, Timor Leste, Italy and Japan.
In Year 9 students have the opportunity to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh Award which comprises the fours components of: Service, Skill, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey.
In Year 11, students have the opportunity to participate in a World Challenge expedition in South East Asia, where they undertake a community project, physical challenge and put their leadership and organisational skills to the test!

Music
Students at Kilbreda are able to participate in an extensive co-curricular instrumental
music program. Each year, early in Term 1, a music enrolment evening for new students,
outlining opportunities to participate in private music tuition and various bands
and ensembles at the College.
Private tuition is available across a wide range of instruments including:

- Violin
- Voice
A range of choirs, bands and ensembles provides extensive opportunities for students
to demonstrate and develop their performance skills such as:
- College Choir

- Training Concert Band
- Senior Concert Band(combined with St Bede’s College)
- Symphonic Band
- String Ensemble
- Ukulele and Guitar Ensemble
Students also have the opportunity to perform in two Musical Soirees each year as
well as assemblies and lunchtime concerts. A Music Camp is also held each year.
Performing Arts
Kilbreda College is well known for the many opportunities it provides in the Performing
Arts, including Dance and Drama. Each year a junior and senior musical production
is held in conjunction with St Bede’s College. Numerous other performance
opportunities are also provided.

Kilbreda College participates in two sporting competitions; the Secondary Catholic
Sports Association (SCSA) and the South Eastern Sporting Group (SESG) and a number
of other individual sporting competitions.
Each year two major College sports carnivals are held in which all students participate;
the College Athletics and College Swimming Carnival.
Kilbreda College is also a member of School Sport Victoria (SSV) which allows students
to trial and participate in SSV interstate representative teams.
