Last Tuesday we held our House Athletics Carnival at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, always a highly anticipated event to show off skills and try something new! Students jumped, threw and sprinted as they competed for ribbons and the coveted House trophy. In the end, Brigid were the victors securing a back-to-back Athletics trophy. They were followed by Tullow, Kildare then Delany. Congratulations go to Gabrielle B (Year 10 Triple Jump) and Emily S (800m Walk) who both broke Kilbreda records on the day. Again, we acknowledge our ‘Dream Team’, Ms Jo Wood, Ms Maree Clark and Mr Vince Camera for making the day one to remember. Finally, we congratulate all students who simply gave an event a go with a special mention to those who supported others from the sidelines and even ran beside them, giving them the extra encouragement they needed. In the end, that’s what it’s all about!
