Welcome Year 7 2025 Families

We look forward to welcoming your daughter/s to Kilbreda College in Year 7 2025.

To assist you with your daughter’s transition to the College, please see the below Transition Information.

Transition Handbook

The transition from primary to secondary school is a significant educational milestone in the lives of our students and their families.  It is a time of excitement and growth as students are presented with new challenges. Students are supported through many avenues to allow the transition from primary to secondary school to be as effortless as possible.

This Transition Handbook will assist you with important information for your daughter’s smooth transition in to Year 7.

In line with our efforts to improve sustainability at the College and reduce our carbon footprint we will continue to offer online ordering for all booklists in 2025.

Orders: The Campion portal is open and accepting orders. If there is a subject not listed on the booklist, that implies that there are no set texts for this subject and students will only require general stationery.

Visit https://order.campion.com.au/#homeView and choose the option to either sign into an existing account or create a new account.

NB: If the Campion website requests a code, please use GVCW

Calculators

Whilst you can purchase your calculator with your supplier of choice, the College works with Abacus Calculators to secure calculators at competitive prices for our families. NB: Campion also includes the same calculator on their booklist, however we have negotiated a special discounted price with Abacus

Orders: Calculators from Abacus Calculators can be ordered online at www.abacuscalculators.com.au

Orders that are placed before Sunday 12 January 2025 will be delivered to the College and can be picked up at the Laptop Collection morning on Thursday 30 January 2025 from 11.00am until 2.00pm.

Second-Hand Supplies

To purchase second-hand supplies, we recommend that families use the Sustainable School Shop, which is an Australian website where second-hand textbooks, uniforms, calculators and musical instruments can be bought and sold.

A number of Kilbreda College families are already using this platform which has become very popular across Australia in recent years.

NB: This service is run externally and not facilitated by the College.

Laptops

We are committed to providing a challenging, enriching and contemporary learning environment for students. Every Year 7 student will receive a College issued laptop to enable ready access to digital / online resources and to develop their skills in the effective and responsible use of technology. This laptop is provided for Years 7, 8 and 9 students.
