There is always something exciting happening in our Design and Technologies space and our Learning Leader, Ms Caaren Hulme, “will never tire of the privilege of watching students grow. Grow with their design skills, their creativity and innovation, their technical skills, their team building skills and their confidence.” During Term 1, our Year 10 Textiles students chose a designer that identified with their ‘signature style’. Unpacking what defines a designer’s style is a very hands-on way of understanding the backbone of designing. After delivering their design options, ten weeks later they are now in the final stages of producing corsets that reflect their chosen designer. Here is a little ‘sneak peek’ for our College Community and a sample of what’s to come in our upcoming Fashion Parade, which takes place during the Art and Design Exhibition in Term 4.
