International Women’s Day 2025 Breakfast

At Kilbreda, we are committed to empowering the next generation of women to chase their dreams, lead with confidence, and create meaningful change. Together, we celebrate the power of uplifting one another as we strive for a more just and inclusive world.

We gathered bright and early for our International Women’s Day 2025 Breakfast, welcoming back Alice Kett (Class of 2006) as our inspiring guest speaker. A passionate and dedicated health professions educator, Alice shared raw and authentic insights from her journey – the highs, the challenges, and the lessons learned. Speaking to the students, she said:

“If you let it, Kilbreda can light a fire in you… You don’t have to do everything, but you most certainly, can do anything.”

Over a delicious breakfast, guests listened to Alice’s powerful words, as well as thought-provoking student reflections. The Kilbreda Chorale delivered a stunning performance of Natasha Bedingfield’s uplifting anthem, Unwritten, leaving the audience humming along.

In closing, Acting Principal Stephanie Smyth left students with this empowering message:

“When you see a woman making the choice to follow her own path, celebrate her strength. When you witness injustice – stand up for the marginalised. And always strive to be the best person that you can be.”

A huge thank you to our Wellbeing team and everyone involved in organising such a meaningful event!
