JAG Family Friendship Day
Each year, the St Brigid’s and St Louis’ Justice Action Group (JAG) hosts the JAG Family Friendship Day, bringing together refugees and their families for a special family picnic. Recently, three Year 10 students volunteered, dedicating their time to coordinate games and activities for the children. The afternoon was a success, leaving a positive impact on everyone involved. The organiser’s feedback spoke volumes of our students – “Zoe, Charlotte and Thea were outstanding, organising games and activities for the children and interacting with both refugee families and parishioners. They encouraged the children to participate in the games and were generous in responding to any request for help. All three girls are a credit to the College and their families. Their genuine interest in social justice issues was inspiring.” We love hearing stories of ways in which our students embody Strength and Kindliness, actively contribute to their community and make a difference in the lives of others.
