Recently our VCAL and Yarrabah School Page students celebrated the completion of their 2022 community project. Every Thursday over a number of months, our students looked forward to the arrival of the Yarrabah students, where together they worked on producing seven brilliant mosaic pieces. The art highlighted the beauty and wonder of Australia’s unique environment and visually represented Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’. VCAL Leader, Mrs Jennifer Gamble said how “gratifying it was to watch students support each other and flourish whilst creating unique art pieces.” The unveiling of the mosaics in our Chapel last Thursday was a testament to everyone’s commitment to this project and the celebration was filled with excitement, happiness, kindness and friendship. All students and staff involved were understandably very proud.
