The College has numerous co-curricular activities that enrich our students’ time at Kilbreda College.

These programs run before, during or after school. Some, such as the Top End trip for Year 11 and the New Caledonia French immersion trip, extend into the school holidays. Students’ participation in enrichment activities are recognised in a number of ways including certificates, badges and awards.

Some of these opportunities have additional costs, although most simply require enthusiasm and commitment. For many students the enrichment program allows them to pursue a personal interest and develop their leadership potential.

A number of study tours and rich immersion experiences allow students to engage with other cultures and communities, deepening their understanding and appreciation of the world. Language and cultural study tours to Italy and Japan along with opportunities to participate in an exchange program enrich the language skills, cultural awareness and confidence of our students.

In the senior years, students have the opportunity to participate in the East Timor Outreach Program, Central Australia Expedition and World Challenge in South East Asia. These programs aim to develop cultural awareness, deepen each student’s commitment to social justice and service to others and promote independence and leadership skill development.

The instrumental music program includes individual tuition in percussion, brass, strings, woodwind, guitar, voice and piano. As part of this program, students will participate in ensemble and band work or choir.
